Want to sell your items on eBay but don’t have the time?
Let an eBay Trading Assistant do it for you! Trading Assistants are experienced eBay sellers who will sell your items on eBay for a fee.
Find the Trading Assistant that is right for you.
Search in the eBay Trading Assistant Directory for an assistant that is located nearby. This is generally done with a post code search.
Once you have your search results, the time comes to undertake some research.
Trading Assistant profile
Click on the profile of any eBay Trading Assistant in the search results and you will be presented with their terms and conditions. This will generally include:
- The main categories of products they specialise in.
- Their fees.
- Conditions of sale.
- Whether they allow you to drop their items off to their home of whether they pick them up.
- Take a look also at their feedback score (the higher the better) and their % positive feedback (100% is always best!)
If you cannot find an assistant who trades in the products you have for sale, don’t give up. It might be best to email them directly and ask the question. Sometimes they just have not mentioned it in their profile. It doesn’t hurt to ask.
Is your prospective Trading Assistant selling anything now?
Once you click onto an eBay user’s profile, you can view any items they currently have for sale.
Take a look at:
- How they photograph their items.
- How they present their descriptions.
- How they present themselves in their ‘About Me‘ page
Have a look also at their feedback over the last month and within the last year. This will give you an indication of the volumes they have sold. Keep in mind some eBay users do not leave feedback (which is unfortunate) and also if one eBay user purchases multiple items only one feedback number will be recorded. So whilst it is an indication, it is only just that.
When you think you have a short-list, send them an email. Tell them what you are wanting to sell, confirm with them their fees, conditions and ask them any other questions you have. Also ask for a phone number if you prefer to discuss with someone over the phone. Sometimes it is nice to hear a voice.
Don’t forget to ask your trading assistant how you can monitor the items on eBay and also how they document all of the fees and charges.
Now sit back, and get paid.
Working with an eBay Trading Assistant can offer you many benefits:
- You will save time and a lot of effort.
- An eBay Trading Assistant will handle every aspect of the sale, from listing the item, photographing it, responding to queries and concerns and finally posting it to the highest bidder.
- You sit back and take advantage of their expertise.
- eBay Trading Assistants are experienced at selling on eBay: Many specialising in certain categories and know how to sell your type of item for maximum value with great exposure.
- Sit back and make money. When your item sells, the Trading Assistant passes the profit on to you (after taking out fees).
The eBay Trading Assistant will collect all payments, deduct any fees you owe, and pass the rest on to you. If you want to reduce fees, suggest to your trading assistant to insist on bank deposit or cash on pick up as opposed to paypal.
As mentioned earlier, I am an eBay trading assistant so if you have questions on how to best approach someone, feel free to ask me any questions you have
Online Selling Tip
If you prefer to take the photographs yourself, and or provide descriptions, ask your trading assistant if they are happy with that! This could result in a reduction in commission!
